My name is István Kósa. I own and manage a business designing currency coins and designing and manufacturing other commemorative metal coins.

We manage the entire process of coin manufacture: design, preparation of plaster samples, tool engraving, minting, casting, colouring and patinating.

Design

We can create original designs using traditional and computerised techniques.

Often our work is to a set briefing. We have been asked to prepare coinage to national mint standards and also commemorative coins and medals series depicting a theme or an event.

Even if your wish is a special or a unique commemorative coin to treasure, we will work to your needs.

Engraving

The skill of engraving is to ensure a clean and accurate depiction of the design prior to the manufacturing stage.

It is a skilled process as the quality and fine detail of the finished product is determined in this stage.

Casting

We use this technique for creating plaquettes and so called cast medals.This process involves the preparation of a special casting mould prior to the products given the final refinements.

Colouring & Patinating

Colouring or patinating gives the coin its final look.
